The general purpose water extraction hose is a two piece construction. The outer surface is compounded to ensure against collapse even under high vacuum during hot water recovery typical of professional portable and truck mount carpet cleaning equipment. The exterior surface is designed to slide easily over carpet surfaces and as the hose bends to travel around a corner the pitch closes to facilitate the hose moving without damage to corners and base boards. The hard exterior surface discourages the hose from collecting and transporting dirt when used in extended lengths. The orange color offers high visibility during use should the cleaning operation be taking place during normal business hours.
