This hose is a 1.375" X 35 foot low voltage vacuum hose with locking stub. A locking stub combines with a locking wand to ensure no unintended separation of the hose from the wand during use.
The hose has a comfort grip handle which freely swivels 360 degrees to reduce kinking and stress on forearms and wrist during use.
A low volt hose allows for control of the central vacuum from a two position switch in the hose handle. To operate properly it requires an industry typical inlet valve with two contact pins projecting into the stem of the wall inlet valve.
Low volt hoses are commonly used with straight air accessories like floor brushes or dusting tools. They are often combined with air turbine tools which use the air flow of the vacuum to spin an agitator for cleaning carpeted surfaces. Air turbine tools can suffer some performance issues when used on the new high density soft carpets as these carpets can restrict air flow and agitator performance.
Low volt hoses are not suitable for use with electric power nozzles.
